Job Description
Overview:
The VP, Supply and Demand Planning will play a critical role in helping us deliver against our commitment to operational excellence, providing short and long term forecasts, capacity management and inventory strategies that deliver targeted operational metrics related to inventory levels, fill rates, cash flow and customer service objectives.

This position has been approved for hybrid work anywhere in the United States. Travel to our headquarters in Goshen, CA is expected on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Champions S&OP processes by identifying and seeking improvement opportunities inclusive of new tools that drive improved demand and supply plans.
  • Leads and owns the Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP).
  • Sets metrics that measure supply and demand planning accuracy.
  • Understands the risks to future supply and works closely with the appropriate teams to ensure supply risks are appropriately mitigated.
  • Facilitates training sessions internally on Supply and Demand Planning, ensuring stakeholders in the planning process possess the resources, skill sets and vision to address company’s needs.
  • Sets a cadence for review and communication of demand and supply plans, from the executive level to front line supervisors.
  • Responsible for the development and training of team members for Supply and Demand Planning related activities.
  • Scope and identify software needs to support S&OP business processes and oversee full implementation of system(s) selected.
  • Drives partnerships with Sales, Operations, Procurement related functions and Finance to develop demand and supply forecast, analyzing previous supply and demand performance. Challenges areas where the demand plan is not realistic and leads the review to identify gaps in the plan, and partners with each function to develop actions to eliminate or narrow those gaps.
  • Responsible for the development of organizational strategy to ensure continuous improvement and growth in capability and performance.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for increased profitability or efficiency through optimization of production sequencing, and identifying low performing skus. .
Qualifications:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • 10+ years’ recent demand planning experience with at least 4 years managing and developing a team.
  • BS/BA required, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations Management, Business Administration or equivalent
Skills:
  • Ability to leverage information systems and business technology to drive process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Superior oral/written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to work well with a wide range of individuals.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, make decisions, prioritize, and meet assigned deadlines.
  • Highly motivated and able to implement and drive efficient processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
  • A people leader who can motivate and direct a team; adept at leading change management initiatives.
Physical Requirments:
  • Frequently required to sit for prolonged periods of time, reach for/manipulate standard office equipment, communicate with various staff and/or reach for and manipulate objects.
Environment:
  • Continuously exposed to indoor/climate controlled office environment.
