Job Description

Supply Chain Manager (Demand Planning)

Manage Production Control / Master Scheduling


Our client is an Automotive Tier 1 company that provides products to Ford, GM, Stellantis, and other OEM companies.


Job Function:

Their build schedules have been mostly automated, however, with increasing volumes and rapid changes to build schedules, they need someone full-time to manage the production planning process.


  • Manage various aspects of Materials Management Function - Manage all production scheduling, planning, and production inventories.
  • Manage aspects of Forecasting - using MS Excel. Manage changes in forecasts and change notices in BOM (Bill of Materials)
  • Work with MRP systems and customer EDI to organize and deliver production schedules and movement of inventory and raw materials to the right place at the right time (be the master and keeper of all production schedules, and conduct planning for production, including ensuring appropriate inventories).
  • Monitor Inventory transactions and stock balances.
  • Make recommendations to improve the process and keep the best practices.
  • Monitor Inventory in warehouse systems, work closely with vendors on deliveries, work with purchasing and supply chain, and report on the discrepancies and countermeasures.


Skills / Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5-15 years experience as either Master Scheduler, Demand Planner, Planner or Scheduler or / in Production Planning, Production Control, or Materials Management.
  • Experience Working with inventory management or warehouse management and some control capacity.
  • Professional attributes - Communicate effectively, good interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Must have experience working with Manufacturing or working in a Manufacturing Plant or Warehouse in Materials Management and Scheduling (Planners or Schedulers).
