Vp Of Investor Relations At Public Consumer Internet Company

Modern Talent, an executive search firm, is recruiting for a VP of Investor Relations at a publicly-traded Consumer Internet company that connects millions of users worldwide.

The VP of Investor Relations will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the investor relations strategy for our client. As the sole person responsible for the investor relations function, this executive will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the investment community, communicating the company's financial performance and strategic direction, and providing transparency to shareholders and analysts. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer and work closely with the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive investor relations strategy that aligns with our Client’s business objectives, financial performance, and long-term growth plans.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, equity analysts, and the broader financial community, serving as the primary point of contact for investor inquiries and organizing/participating in investor conferences, roadshows, and one-on-one meetings.
3. Lead the development of investor communications materials, including investor presentations, conference call scripts, Q&A documents, press releases, earnings releases, and fact sheets that effectively convey the company's financial results and outlook.
4. Provide timely and accurate responses to questions related to the company's financials, operations, and strategic initiatives.
5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices for investor relations and financial communications.
6. Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing insights into investor perspectives and helping to shape the company's strategic narrative for the investment community.
7. Play an active role in investor relations aspects of corporate transactions.
8. Utilize expertise in financial modeling and forecasting to provide investors and analysts with clear and accurate insights into our Client’s financial performance, growth prospects, and business outlook.
9. Engage with a diverse range of investor segments, including retail investors, institutional investors, and ESG-focused investors, and tailor investor communications to resonate with different stakeholder priorities and interests.

Qualifications:

• Must be a VP of Investor Relations at an existing publicly traded direct-to-consumer company, or more senior.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, SEC regulations, and investor relations best practices.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in investor relations, finance, investing, or related roles, with a demonstrated track record of success in investor relations.
• Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer businesses.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with institutional investors and financial analysts.
