Summary of Role:
The Vice President of Business Development, a member of the senior leadership team, is responsible for developing and executing the company's growth strategy for the certified coaches and ambassadors (affiliates) under the FASTer Way to Fat Loss Business Development Division. This includes identifying new business opportunities, managing key partnerships, and overseeing the development of new products and services specifically for certified coaches and ambassadors. Working as a collaborative leader, the VP is responsible for managing a team of 10 contributors.
The VP of Business Development collaborates with other senior leadership team members to develop and implement the company’s business plan and yearly energy chart in order to meet our strategic goals. In doing so, the VP provides leadership and direction for the success of the company’s programs by establishing, maintaining and evaluating short and long range objectives and strategies for accomplishing required performance and sales targets. They will develop and strengthen partnerships with key internal stakeholders and the external community of coaches and affiliates, including top 30 coaches, strategic partners and influencers.
Essential Functions:
- Lead a team of affiliate staff and oversee day to day management of all coaches, affiliates, and strategic partnerships to continually grow revenue
- Provide feedback from our affiliate community to all other departments ensuring our strategies create high quality, best in class experiences
- Attracts high potential individual contributors onto the team
- Develop the systems, processes and key performance goals for programs, strategic partnerships and coach certification
- Provide strategic input of NC and VIP Programming to ensure best in class experience Develop and cultivate partner networks and strategic partnerships
- Effectively resolves conflict by addressing issues and solving problems in a practical and healthy manner
- Other duties as assigned
- Analyze and review reports and data associated to our coach, ambassador, influencer, and client programs and community to identify areas in which we can improve and produce sales results
- Ensures reporting Directors are providing a detailed project plan to track progress; examples include, but are not limited to the Coach/Client engagement with workout and nutrition programming
- Oversee the development and implementation of partnership strategy to increase the reach and impact of our ongoing efforts in advancing our programs and products
- Performance manage the team based on KPI's and program budget and work plans
- Responsible for managing the aggregated monthly energy chart calendar as it relates to coach certification, group wellness, and strategic partnership opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of senior level management experience in the fitness and nutrition field and or community development, with experience in cultivating relationships and managing day to day operations in a sales environment
- Track record of building and managing efficient and sustainable organizational infrastructures, including demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, staff, new initiatives; ability to build and manage relationships; strong leadership and customer service skills
- Financial management experience that includes development and tracking of program budgets and decision making based on financial reports
- BA required, MBA or advanced degree in a related field a plus
- Proven ability to motivate and manage staff and to appropriately delegate responsibilities; to monitor, coach and develop staff, and to evaluate performance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong grant writing experience.
