The Lumistella Company is looking for a dynamic and experienced Vice President, Content Marketing to join our team! The VP, Content Marketing has a pivotal role that entails strategic planning, development, and implementation of our company's global marketing content strategy blueprint. Responsible for the oversight and management of the creation and production of online and limited relevant offline marketing content, the VP of Content Marketing ensures the content plan is executed strategically and successfully, helping The Lumistella Company achieve its related goals.

The ideal VP, Content Marketing will bring:
- Enthusiastic about consumer family brands, digital media, data and marketing trends
- Broad experience across content marketing channels and a thirst to continue testing and learning.
- Critical-thinker and problem-solver; ability to take complex information and explain it clearly in simple and understandable language for our internal/external target audiences; Excellent communication skills with the ability to present at board level and inspire a team.
- Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and re-prioritize quickly.
- 10+ years in content marketing with a focus on digital media and brand engagement.
- Experience in producing smart CTAs according to consumer lifecycle stage.
- Budget management experience.
- Experience managing teams, including remote and virtual employees.
- Experience in producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, MailChimp, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
- Entrepreneurial with an ability to create and follow plans yet flexible enough to respond to change while balancing multiple projects and priorities.
- Keeps up to date on new developments & best practices in content marketing across multiple industries; Creates culture of experimentation and repetitive excellence.
- Experience building audiences either online or offline.
- Sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on company’s success; desire to learn, grow and develop as a key stakeholder on the Global Marketing team, and to mentor and empower future team members.
- Track record of managing external marketing agencies
- Comfortable with both big-picture strategy and in-the-weeds execution
- In-depth knowledge of content optimization, SEO and other relevant insights and analytics tied to marketing content.
The VP, Content Marketing essential job functions:
- Strategy/Content Management:
- Collaborate with the Director of Creative Content to create a long-range plan & roadmap for marketing content development that aligns with integrated marketing initiatives.
- Oversee the creation & production of digital content across new & existing multiple websites, consumer-facing blogs, email & SMS programs, digital games & apps.
- Develop & execute The Lumistella Company's content marketing strategy, aligned with the global marketing team's goals & objectives.
- Optimize music content across relevant channels through partnerships with outside agencies.
- Support the Director of Consumer Marketing in social media content strategies.
- Establish standards for brand positioning, messaging, segmentation, & brand voice in digital content offerings.
- Serve as the team stakeholder for vendor & agency partners.
- Manage content marketing budget, crafting and owning the team's roadmap & budget to meet objectives & maximize effectiveness.
- Protects company assets through the proper management of asset files & adherence to company policy regarding information security & management.
- Utilize data to inform content marketing strategy, program strategy, & decisions on content creation & syndication.
- Provide ROI analysis and reports to the SVP and wider marketing team, identifying opportunities to grow subscriber base, increase site traffic, maximize engagement, & improve content optimization.
- Deliver a content marketing program that delivers measurable value beyond clicks.
- Ensure consistent utilization and implementation of SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with cross functionally to ensure buy-in and understanding of future plans, tactics, & campaigns.
- Lead & motivate a full-time content marketing team of seven, with three direct reports.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
- Position requires presence in the office consistent with the company’s Work from Home policy and whenever necessary to fulfill the functions of the role.
- Requires sitting for extended periods of time, standing, visual acumen, and manual dexterity for working with computer keyboards.
