What are the Specifics
New College of Florida invites applications for a visiting assistant professorship in the history of the United States for the 2023-24 academic year. Specialization is open.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach a two-term sequence in American history, one course of which meets the state requirements for civic literacy, and offer additional courses in their areas of interest. and supervise senior theses.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in History preferred, ABD considered.

Situated on Sarasota Bay along the Gulf of Mexico, New College is the nationally recognized honors college of the State University System of Florida. A small, innovative liberal arts institution, New College offers an individualized and student-centered curriculum where students receive narrative evaluations in lieu of grades.
