Job Summary:
The faculty member for this position will teach assigned courses in the School of Education. The proposed courses include a wide range that will be determined by the needs of the School of Education but will focus on ESE, clinical and doctoral courses.

Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, clinical supervision/direction, and service.

Position Qualifications:
  • An earned doctorate (Ph.D., Ed.D.) in Education from an accredited university with a specialization appropriate for mentoring practitioner scholars in the Ed.D. program by the time of appointment;

  • Familiarity (or potential) of experience with advising Ed.D. students in developing dissertations-in-practice;

  • Evidence of commitment to educational access as demonstrated in scholarship, teaching/mentoring, and service;

  • Evidence (or potential) of successful experiences and the ability to work with a community of students, faculty, staff, and external constituents.

    • Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with projects that use problems of practice methodology;

  • Evidence of successful teaching and mentoring experience in graduate and/or doctoral practice-based courses related to developing practitioner-scholars in Ed.D. programs;

  • A record of excellence in or strong potential for mentoring doctoral students, serving on doctoral committees, chairing doctoral dissertation committees and providing additional supports to the doctoral program;

  • A record of consistent research publications in peer-reviewed outlets within education;

  • Evidence of (or) clear potential for publications with a focused ESE research agenda in education;

  • Experience with the Carnegie Project on the Educational Doctorate (CPED).
