Job Description
What we are looking for


Optime Care is looking for a Vice President of Operations for our St. Louis, MO location. We are looking for a dynamic and passionate leader to support all “Manufacturer Sponsored Programs” at Optime Care. The VP will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities to ensure the development and implementation of efficient operations to meet the current and future needs of the organization. They will be responsible for upholding the profitability and values of the organization by leading business operations. He/She will manage the Supervisors on all Optime Care’s Care Teams. This position could require up to 25% travel to customers and other company locations.


What the position will be doing


  • Assist in determining staffing requirements for the effective and efficient operation of their team.
  • Identifying areas where process improvement may be necessary and collaborating with leadership to implement solutions.
  • Maintain ongoing account relationships at multiple levels.
  • Develop implementation processes and manages reporting processes to ensure client retention and high levels of account satisfaction.
  • Interview, hire, and train new employees, or oversee those Human Resources processes.
  • Guide, direct, and evaluate the work of direct reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
  • Manage staff, prepare work schedules as needed and assigning specific duties.
  • Provide organizational and operational leadership for the company by overseeing the day-to-day activities of the “Manufacturer Sponsored Programs” and company operations.
  • Implement process improvement recommendations to meet customers' expectations.
  • Interface with stakeholders across the company to ensure smooth delivery of services.


Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities


  • Ability to communicate with all levels within an organization and with patients and physician offices
  • Ability to think and act independently, formulate, and support new ideas, and champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of own responsibilities.
  • Current Missouri BOP Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist License in good standing.
  • Ability to budget for multiple projects, including monitoring and controlling costs.
  • A detail-oriented approach with an ability to switch between job responsibilities quickly and seamlessly.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or 4-year equivalent, is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven. Relentless attention to detail, and the ability to be a creative self-starter and team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • 2 to 3 years PBM or Managed Healthcare/Consulting Benefits experience preferred.
