Vice President Operations Full Time

Job Summary:

The VP of Operations will oversee the day-to-day operations of all manufacturing facilities, ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively. Directly reports to President.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the hiring and training of departmental managers.
• Disseminates discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy and HR approval.
• Conducts departmental manager performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall performance of manufacturing operations
• Ensures all business operations are compliant with company safety policy and OSHA standards
• Direct the review of job standards, develop cost studies and systems for optimum efficiency and profitability
• Leads purchasing department in identifying and developing actions for material cost reductions while maintaining or improving product quality
• Partner with the executive staff to drive strategies, plans, and organizational capabilities
• Development of short and long-term strategies and budgets based on firm’s goals and objectives
• Drives sustainable lean manufacturing processes throughout all parts of the business
• Responsible for the development, execution, and ROI of capital expenditures for the business
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in manufacturing, business, and finance
• Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Superior knowledge of business operation and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

• Masters degree in Business Administration appreciated
• Extensive knowledge of production environment with at least 15 years of manufacturing managerial experience

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
