They are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead our sales team and drive profitable sales growth.
Role Overview:
As the VP of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, achieving sales objectives, and fostering the growth of our sales team. You will work closely with the VP of Finance to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations. This pivotal leadership role requires a results-oriented mindset, exceptional sales acumen, and the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing team.
Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives by effectively leading and motivating the sales team.
- Create a comprehensive business plan and sales strategy that aligns with overall company goals.
- Utilize CRM software to track sales activities, provide status updates, and generate reliable sales forecasts.
- Utilize solution selling techniques to guide the sales process and successfully close deals.
- Deliver compelling on-site and online sales presentations and product demonstrations as needed.
- Provide market insights and feedback to the Product Sales, Product Development, and Marketing teams.
- Travel as necessary to meet with key clients and attend industry events.
- Develop, implement, and execute territory sales plans to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
- Qualify leads, identify prospect needs, and engage subject matter experts when necessary to deliver tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with the VP of Finance to deliver accurate sales forecasts and identify opportunities and challenges in the market.
- Stay informed about product line updates, industry trends, and competition to effectively advise clients and adapt sales strategies.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have proven experience In brick and mortar and e-commerce retail industry background at a global level.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive management experience, overseeing large organizations with multiple direct reports.
- Proven success in recruiting, developing, coaching, and retaining talented sales professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and nurture key customer relationships at the C-suite level.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to execute strategies with cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction in mind.
- Extensive experience in growing sales teams across multiple channels and territories.
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience or a bachelor's degree in Business.
- Strong financial acumen, including profit analysis and pricing strategies.
- Ethical and hardworking individual with a proven track record of achieving ambitious sales goals within tight timelines.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire employees at all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, instilling trust and confidence in employees and clients.
Compensation will be a mix of Base, commission, and equity (shares ) .
