Job Description

We are seeking to add to an Area Vice President of Sales for our Schools Division who will help build our schools' business on the West Coast. Based out of California, you will report to our Chief Revenue Officer of the Division, this role will serve as a key Sales leadership position within the organization and will be responsible for executing the executive team's vision for building the business. This individual will assist the CRO in developing organizational capabilities and go-to-market strategies as well as directly engaging in field sales efforts.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide field-level feedback to Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams
  • Execute direct field sales and sales management responsibilities - targeting and prioritizing accounts, analyzing and reporting on competitor activities, and pricing strategies
  • Reporting notes ( CRM, weekly 1-1’s, etc.)
  • Ability to provide direction and coaching
  • Team Activity (types, quantity, quality)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of each mastery product, develop an ability to inform, present, and converse fluently and comfortably with all customer levels
  • Develop credibility and trust of Mastery products at school, district, and state level
  • Timing of revenue
  • Strategically execute on Go-to-Market strategy
  • Team Revenue vs. Quota
  • Build, train and develop a first-class salesforce and channel partners
  • Interactions with colleagues, customers, and prospects
  • Level of expertise (industry, product, funding, etc.)
  • Lead sales calls with a wide variety of prospects at state, district, and school levels
  • Performance Measurements


Required Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical thinker with experience leveraging data and analytics to drive customer value
  • M.Ed., MBA, or Teaching experience a plus
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience successfully selling education and/or educational technology products
  • Extensive experience in Value Selling techniques and Pragmatic Marketing training preferred with 10 years in leadership roles with experience developing and bringing to market new educational technology products
  • Extensive experience in utilizing Salesforce to drive sales and sales management activities
  • Minimum 5 years of successful sales management with regional P&L responsibility
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong relationship builder with extensive knowledge at schools and district level
