About the Role:


The Vice President of Sales will serve as the primary market representative and will be responsible for selling Vital Data Technology products to healthcare payers with a focus on the large payer market. We are looking for a strong experienced Sales Hunter that can find, nurture and close business. This is an individual contributor role that will be responsible for a territory of named healthcare payer accounts and report to the Chief Revenue Officer.


Responsibilities:


  • Meets or exceeds sales objectives as assigned.
  • Work strategically with the Chief Revenue Officer to deliver forecasts, identify trending opportunities/challenges and provide recommended solutions.
  • Prepare, implement, and execute territory sales plans.
  • Utilize solution selling techniques to effectively guide the sales process to close.
  • Keep informed of industry trends and feed this information to the Product Sales, Product Development Team, and Marketing team.
  • Develop relationships with C and VP level executives within assigned accounts and clearly articulate the Vital Data Technology value proposition to address their business needs.
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that measures the attainment of sales goals.
  • Actively build product knowledge to ensure a high level of understanding of the Vital Data Technology product line including any new functionality.
  • Effectively qualify leads and identify prospect needs, engaging a product subject matter expert where necessary.
  • Preparation and delivery of presentations, proposals, and quotes.
  • Keep informed of product line, competition, and industry trends that may impact client business activities.
  • Travel as needed for client, prospect, and sales meetings, travel is projected to average 50% (post-Covid).
  • Utilize CRM solutions to provide timely and accurate sales activity tracking and status updates along with predictable and precise sales forecasts.
  • Delivery of on-site and online sales presentations and product demos.


Requirements:


  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary team to plan sales activities.
  • Understanding of SaaS cloud-based technology service models.
  • Proven ability to present an enterprise technology solution impacting multiple departments within a payer organization.
  • Ability to provide a consultative approach within the sales process.
  • Successful history of SaaS technology sales in the healthcare payer market with demonstrated success in selling enterprise products focused on Medical Management and Population Health solutions.
