Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Vice President of Retail Delivery in Los Angeles, CA. The VP of Retail Delivery functions as a key member of the Leadership Team and provides overall leadership, purpose and direction for Retail Delivery. Responsible departments include the Advisory Centers (Branches) and Central Intelligence Advisory Center (Contact Center). This position is the internal and external champion for the Credit Union’s service culture and leads the continued enhancement of service delivery and operational process improvements. The role is responsible for the development and execution of progressive retail service strategies in support of the Credit Union’s strategic goals and objectives
VP of Retail Delivery Job Responsibilities:
- Implement a focused sales and service culture, through daily check-in, one-on-one coaching, and management of tracking and reporting to ensure each Retail Management effectively supports the overall success of their department and the Credit Union.
- In collaboration with executive leadership and other departments, develops and executes the Retail Delivery’s strategies, policies, and operating procedures in support of the Credit Union’s Strategic Plan.
- Manage all aspects of the staffing and employee development within this department including the hiring, promotion, coaching, ongoing evaluation, and termination of employees.
- Ensure team members develop effective working relationships with internal departments to provide support for member requests as well as joint business development efforts.
- Continuously scan the internal and external business environment for emerging member service trends, best practices, and product/service opportunities.
- Promote exceptional performance; manage staffing levels and turnover; address underperforming employees; provide timely feedback and effective solutions.
- Consistently communicate and coach team members with positive and constructive feedback; complete employee evaluations on time.
- Manage, support, and coach employees, assisting in their ongoing training and development.
- Establish and manage performance objectives for business volume, deposits, loan portfolios, member service, and quality of audit reports for assigned branches, maintaining branch profitability.
- Build and sustain a highly capable and contributing leadership team consistent with the Credit Union’s culture.
- Recommend any changes to deposit products and services and delivery channel systems (including digital channels) to continually ensure maximum value to our membership.
Director of Retail Delivery Job Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of Credit Union/ financial sector operations.
- Strong project management abilities.
- Knowledge and understanding of business and media processes.
- 5+ years of experience within a credit union, bank, or financial services environment
- Bachelor’s in business-related field required.
- Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management to meet the needs of the business and role.
- Regular travel to campuses and offices will be required, so must be able to drive, travel and move within buildings to perform work with some physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- 3+ years of experience with a consultative sales approach within a credit union, banking or financial services
- Must be capable of regular reliable, and timely attendance that aligns with the pacific time zone.
- Ability to effectively resolve issues and quickly overcome objections.
