Job Overview: The Vice President of Facilities is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility management within the organization. This position involves developing and implementing strategic plans to optimize facilities, ensuring they align with business goals. The Vice President of Facilities leads a team of professionals, collaborates with cross-functional departments, and ensures the provision of safe, efficient, and sustainable workplace environments.

Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities for improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance facility operations.
• Budgeting and Financial Management
• Establish and enforce safety policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a secure and healthy work environment.
• Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to negotiate contracts, leases, and service agreements.
• Develop and manage the facilities department budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with executive management to align facility objectives with the overall organizational strategy.
• Team Management and Development
• Oversee contracts with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness drills.
• Safety and Compliance
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for team members.
• Ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and repair of all physical facilities, systems, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
• Facility Operations and Maintenance
• Track and analyze key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of facility operations.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and development within the facilities department.
• Leadership and Strategy Development
• Develop and execute the vision, mission, and strategic goals for the facilities department.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Lead and mentor a team of facilities professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and compliance standards.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
• Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and contract negotiation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• In-depth knowledge of facility operations, maintenance, and building systems.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
