Come join fantastic leadership and HR teams as the Vice President of Human Resources!!!
This role is for the leader of the HR teams in Safran Electronics and Defense, Avionics, (SEDA). SEDA designs and manufactures flight critical Actuation and Pilot interfaces for a variety of Commercial and military aviation applications. This HR team services 4 sites in the US and Mexico with over 800 employees in the Business Unit. This growing business is looking for a dynamic leader to drive change by improving and solidifying processes and utilizing enterprize tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Management and oversight of the SEDA Human Resources team to ensure that all programs and initiatives are integrated and effective in supporting the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the company. This includes roll out of Safran Group level HRIS systems to enable greater consistency and improved tools for retention of employee data, learning management, and employee development

  • Directly participate in institutional planning and decision-making as a member of the Executive Leadership team, and provide broad leadership and coordination to the company

  • Continue and Complete HR initiatives to further define Job Classification and expectations at each level to provide clear development paths for our employees to progress in their careers

  • Coach and advise senior leaders on team development and key organizational and management issues. Develop a unified approach and corresponding tools for executive and senior leaders to evaluate, design and align their structures to build high-performing teams

  • Ensure the development, planning and management of the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) functions in compliance with regulations and Safran Group guidelines

  • Oversee Internal and external communication for the company. Highlight the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility and drive improved Safran Branding locally for retention and attraction

  • Work with the Safran USA and Global Legal departments to ensure regulatory compliance with all state and federal employment and provide coaching, counseling, and advice to guide leaders and HR team members with regards to HR programs, practices, policies, legislation, investigations, and regulatory requirements including interpretation of policy, identification of risk, impact to the business and recommended solutions

  • Build a robust talent management, training and recruitment strategy, to meet company goals and development

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement with focus on leading high-impact projects and activities focused on employee engagement and retention, as well as, fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace

  • Provide data analytics and mature reporting by developing predictive models, scenario planning, risk analysis and mitigation, integration with strategic planning

Required Competencies:
To be successful in this role, the VP must possess outstanding leadership qualities and organizational skills, along with significant management experience and a strong commitment to service and accountability. The VP must have proven experience as a strategic thinker with capability to lead change both at the operational and strategic levels. Be a highly motivated leader with a focus on development of their team with a passion for delivering high quality service, deep interest in building strong relationships with leadership and staff, a collaborative, decisive and flexible decision-making style, a hands-on orientation that pays attention to detail, and the ability to lead organizational change in a fast paced, growing business.
Education:
  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management, Social Sciences or Humanities or equivalent;

  • Intermediate – Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems SuccessFactors, Workday, etc.
