JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President (VP) of Human Resources (HR) provides senior level leadership and guidance to Anne Carlsen human resource department. The VP of HR also provides senior leadership support to Anne Carlsen for all departments. The VP is responsible for supporting the CHRO is setting, enforcing, and evaluating legal compliant HR policies, procedures, guidelines, best practices as well as assisting with long term strategic talent management goals for the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)
Education and/or years’ experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
- 3 years of human resource leadership experience
- 3 years of human resource information systems (HRIS) experience
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
- Master’s degree in human resource management, business administration or related field
- 5 -7 years of human resource leadership experience, preferably at the VP level or above
- 5-7 years of HRIS experience, preferably, implementing system change
- SHRM- CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred
- Proven experience in change management
Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable): This position will supervise Human Resource department staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES
- Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations and best practices in employment law, human resources and talent management.
- Manages key performance indicators for the human resource functions, assesses success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
- Ensures compliance with employments, safety, and other laws, regulations and requirements.
- Collaborates with CHRO and Executive Team to manage the organizations mission and goals by finding and supporting ways through talent management.
- Assists CHRO with developing and managing annual human resources budget.
- Provides guidance and leadership to the human resources team, questions, concerns and issues.
