As the Vice President, Human Resources, you will be responsible for the full understanding of business needs and requirements with a focus on enhancing employee experience, driving continuous improvement, instill a high-performance culture and align the workforce for significant topline and bottom-line growth for North America. This role will report to the Sr. VP of HR for the Americas & Asia Pacific.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Provide expertise to senior leadership as it pertains to learning and development, performance management, employee experience and engagement, senior leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Ensure HR transactional and compliance/regulatory policies are implemented and followed by site HR Managers.
  • Mitigate risk by ensuring appropriate escalation / investigation of performance, conduct and other employee matters.
  • Build and/or improve key HR infrastructure, processes, policies, systems, and procedures to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement within the group and holds HR leaders accountable for problem solving against key barriers and issues that prevent optimal employee experience.
  • Analyze data to validate business observations and/or to assess results of overall organizational health initiatives and create action plan
  • Apply effective strategies to enable the organization to thrive through change and provide group and 1-on-1 mentorship for Business leaders and HR team
  • Fosters a healthy and positive relationship between the employees and leadership across the region
  • Establish meaningful business partnerships with Business leaders to inspire a culture of excellence and collaboration to unlock the full potential of GXO
  • Remain current on market and industry trends, competitors, benchmarking human resource programs and practices to ensure the organization remains competitive and meets and exceeds its financial and people objectives
  • Collaborate with the HR Leadership team in the region to effectively partner with the business and successfully drive company-wide programs and initiatives including performance management, salary administration, Talent Acquisition, Workforce planning, talent reviews and change management
  • Owns succession planning and bench strength requirements
  • Drive wage analytics strategy and present comprehensive proposed solution to clients as needed
  • Act as a change agent leading employee education, training and safety ensuring compliance with government and state regulation

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • Must have theoretical expertise and practical experience in complex HR principles and concepts
  • Experience with large matrixed organizations with 10K+ employees
  • Must have experience managing stakeholders at the President and C-suite level
  • 15 years of relevant, progressive HR experience
  • Must have experience managing teams and organization through transformation as measured by key, tangible metrics
  • Must have led distributed HR teams across North America (or the US) with HR responsibility for the employee population in the region

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Excellent oratory and presentation skills
  • Multinational experience
  • Master’s degree in human resources or a related field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or other HR certification or designation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
