Job Description

Join the Oxford Collection team! We are currently seeking to add a Vice President of Human Resources. This position is located in Bend, Oregon and will be based at the corporate office. The role has oversite of all human resources functions for the 17 hotels and corporate office.

The Vice President of Human Resources (HR) provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations. The Vice President is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management. Member of leadership team.
  • Identifies key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
  • Functional oversite of payroll and 401K process and auditing.
  • Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
  • Oversee Human Resources team members.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to the human resources team; assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
  • Oversees employee development and training strategies. Reviews implementation and execution of those strategies with team members.
  • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • At least eight years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
  • Human Resources in hospitality preferred.

Job Requirements:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends and holidays
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Able to travel to properties if needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
  • Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
