Position

Our first priorities at OMG are Safety and People – the keys to our success. Our goal is to offer employees a safe environment in which to grow and improve the quality of their lives and the lives of their families. The Vice President of Human Resources and Environmental Health & Safety (VP HR/EHS) has ultimate responsibility for executing strategies that deliver a culture that is safe, healthy, supportive, inclusive, open and creative.

The VP HR/EHS ensures that we recruit and retain a highly qualified team that represents our core values and deliver results. This resource ensures our ability to retain employees by helping them clearly understand their roles, impact on customers and how they bring value to our organization. Key to success will be the ability to communicate company objectives and performance regularly so employees feel connected and able to make better decisions at work.

Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the VP HR/EHS works with the senior management team to plan and execute business strategies and evaluate how to support these with strong Safety and People management. The VP HR/EHS consistently evaluates the current state of our HR/EHS structure, programs and processes and utilizes the continuous improvement tools to drive any improvement needed to support our people and business goals.

We require a commercially oriented HR/EHS business partner who can build relationships at all levels and maintain an exceptional culture and employee experience. The VP HR/EHS will develop and maintain a team that delivers guidance and credible solutions on Safety- and People-related challenges and objectives. The successful candidate will be an outstanding performance partner for the business: agile, connected, globally savvy and accountable for strategic delivery.
