Position Overview:
The Vice President, Human Resources (VP, HR) is responsible for managing all aspects of Human Resources to ensure that BrassCraft possesses the people, skills and capabilities to execute the organization’s mission and strategy. This includes overall responsibility for the HR function including employee and labor relations across all locations and functions, leadership and employee development, leadership succession and organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, safety and health, change management, Human Resources communications, compensation and benefits. As a member of the senior leadership team, the VP, HR will also partner with functional leads to provide consultative support and align business needs and Human Resources strategies to achieve yearly and long-term financial and strategic objectives. The VP, HR reports directly to the President of BrassCraft and manages a team consisting of both site and functional HR Directors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for identifying gaps between current organizational capabilities and design, required competencies and skills, and the future strategic objectives of the organization
- Introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives with functional/operational leaders in order to address issues that will enhance overall performance and build the overall talent capability of the organization
- Leverage Masco Shared Services to address and satisfy the strategic needs of the business and ensure that the business receives the necessary services, support, and communications from those centralized Human Resources groups.
- Sets strategic direction and guides staff in the design, development and execution of organizational design and development programs. Partner with business unit leaders to develop strategic workforce plans and to contribute to business strategy development/key business decisions.
- Oversee the performance management and compensation processes for BrassCraft Manufacturing Company, so that employees receive the feedback, motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance
- Responsible for providing Human Resources leadership in the deployment of Masco’s Talent leadership framework including, talent management, talent acquisition, employee relations, employee training and leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, change management and process improvement.
- Participate in the development of Brasscraft Manufacturing Company’s strategies, plans and programs with the executive leadership team, with particular focus on the impact on talent. Lead a team of Human Resources professionals to translate strategic and tactical business plans and issues into Human Resources strategies and programs.
- Consult with senior business leaders to ensure strategic alignment between business unit objectives and talent initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong experience managing international sites and associate base; experience with APAC businesses also a plus
- 10 plus years of demonstrated success in managing a Human Resources function, within and for a multi-site, complex consumer/manufacturing organization
- Demonstrated success developing and implementing Human Resource systems and programs
- Strong Planning, organizational and change management skills; also conflict management abilities
- Strong business acumen and talent leadership skills
- Change management experience including cultural transformation and/or turnaround is desired
- Labor and employee relations experience with a demonstrated track record of fostering healthy workplace cultures
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; MBA or other advanced degree preferred. PHR or SPHR also preferred
- Superior collaboration and communication skills with executive presence
Hiring Range: $178,400-$280,390k with eligibility for short and long-term incentive compensation.
