THE GIST:
Our client, prominent Bay Area-based investment firm, seeks a strategic Vice President of Events & Experiences to join their new department. This role will manage a team of global event professionals as they execute top-tier events from ideation to execution. They will also work closely with the department head to develop event strategy, manage budgets, and streamline processes.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of excellence managing an events team and is passionate about delivering a 5-star curated experience!
THE NITTY GRITTY:
- Oversee event logistics – budgets, venue selection, vendors, timelines, contracts, etc.
- Collaborate effectively with team through pre-planning to day-of execution
- Expertly manage a range of competing projects and delegate appropriate action steps
- Minimal offsite travel required (10%)
- Creatively develop event strategy in tandem with the head of the department
- Partner with marketing team on landing pages, creative assets, deliverables, and communications
- Act as a mentor to the team and support their training & development
- Oversee post-event feedback, budget analysis, and reporting
- Lead team of 5-6 international event professionals
- Develop new processes & best practices and lead implementation
THE ESSENTIALS:
- 10+ years of experience in corporate event management
- Strategic approach to work – ability to see the big picture
- Ability to travel when needed
- Experience planning a wide range of high-level events (prominent CEOs, important stakeholders & investors, etc.)
- Experience building and managing a team of event professionals
- Strong sense of accountability
- Positive and service-oriented approach to their work
- Passion for mentoring others & developing an amazing team

COMPENSATION: Base salary: $200,000/yr - $250,000/yr + bonus + benefits (exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and expertise)
