Vice President Of Construction

Summary: Join a front-running team as the Vice President, driving excellence in our data center operations. You will collaborate closely with our President, providing strategic leadership, fostering growth, and leading our team towards achieving industry benchmarks. Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership:

• Champion operational excellence through motivation, professionalism, and clarity.
• Navigate the RFP process, strategize projects, and allocate the best-suited resources.
• Oversee preconstruction deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

1. Strategic Direction:

• Engage in business development, securing leads and expanding our client base through operational excellence.
• Collaborate with the President on innovation and long-term goals.
• Develop and execute visionary strategies, ensuring company remains a market leader.

1. Team Development & Leadership:

• Guide, empower, and motivate the team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Cultivate the next generation of leaders within the organization.
• Collaborate with HR on recruitment, company policies, and strategic growth.

1. Risk Management & Oversight:

• Ensure adherence to company policies, safeguarding profitability and mitigating project risks.
• Lead contract negotiations and reviews in alignment with the President and CFO.
• Identify project risks in conjunction with the VP/PX and support operational staff with risk assessment / management.

1. Community Engagement:

• Uphold and propagate company culture, mission, vision, and values.
• Represent the company at industry events, boards, and affiliations.
• Promote safety and resolve any conflicts, ensuring a harmonious working environment.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of construction information systems, including BIM and project management software
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid financial acumen and experience in budget management
• Significant relevant experience in construction project management
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations, codes, and best practices
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex construction projects, preferably in a general contracting environment
