Overview


The VP of Business Development must be a self-driven, results-oriented achiever, willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to attain the necessary sales quotas. It is required that this individual have a strong network filled with decision-making marketers, possess exceptional interpersonal skills all fueled by an unwavering tenacity to drive and grind to achieve rapid results.


What You Love To Do


  • Conduct background research on prospective clients and agency competitors
  • Win business and transition relationship post-sale to client services, product and technology teams
  • Establish business plans by account and develops comprehensive and strategic whitespace plans to achieve annual quota
  • Conducts Quarterly Business Reviews with customer base to expand usage of products and services, and to identify areas of improvement to mitigate loss and ensure alignment on mutual growth goals
  • Ability to define, communicate and scope a project after identifying client goals and objectives
  • Utilize existing relationships to set meetings and opportunities with key stakeholders of our target audience
  • Travel up to 20% of the time
  • Continual commitment to professional development through seminar/webinar attendance, industry podcasts, blog posts, and research of new technologies to elevate industry expertise, solidify client trust and ultimately close the business
  • Integrates industry insights, general market trends, emerging technologies and competitive knowledge into sales talk tracks to demonstrate executive level value and expertise to prospective clients
  • Assist in hunting, fielding, and vetting new prospect calls, emails, and meetings
  • Thrive on selling into complex and dynamic organizations across a broad spectrum of industries
  • Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth
  • Develops solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the business portfolio relevant to the prospective client’s needs
  • Pitch solutions, not products; comfortable securing prospective clients' marketing budgets
  • Negotiate deals, manage internal approval processes by cross-collaborating with RAZR stakeholders to configure and finalize MSA/NDA agreements and statements of work
  • Consistently and accurately tracks weekly sales activities within CRM (HubSpot)
  • Excels at cross-departmental communication to build internal relationships that result in cohesive and thoughtful collaboration across all divisions of RAZR I.e., Finance, Project & Product Management, Brand, Strategy, Creative and Technical Teams to model our client-centered culture
  • Assist editorial writer in creating and cataloguing new business outreach, content, and related needs
  • Quickly become well versed in our industry-leading products and services across all divisions
  • Demonstrate clear ability to prospect and drive acquisition of new relationships
  • Drives two-way communication and engages the customer by linking their business priorities to our value proposition
  • Work with the Growth Team to help determine winning strategy, pitch team, and commercial approach for each prospect/pitch assigned


Qualifications


  • Extensive track record of business development, relationship building, and comfort with regular and ongoing C-suite communication and presentation
  • Ability to create, compose and edit written materials
  • Excellent at discovering new opportunities and very comfortable with opening new doors and developing new relationships
  • Proven persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Historical and consistent demonstration of producing sales revenues in the range of $5-10M+ annually
  • Ability to conduct in-depth sales presentations, including product demonstrations that highlight key benefits, ROI and the value of our solutions and services
  • Strong communication skills to build rapport with prospective and existing customers and within the organization amongst all colleagues
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CRM application


Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of five years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required
  • 10+ years' experience selling high value, complex technology, and service offerings
