Summary: Reporting directly to the Chief Brand Marketing Officer, the Vice President of Brand Marketing and Communications will lead the overarching strategy and vision for the company’s global brand marketing and communications initiatives and will play a vital role in continuing to grow the Alexander Wang business. This will involve leading a team to plan, implement and execute a strategic, integrated marketing approach across all brand marketing and communication programs and activities; such as global advertising campaigns, seasonal asset toolkits and content, runway shows, traditional advertisement placements, retail marketing, innovative in store activations and experiences, new store opening events and online engagement, competitions and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
· Partner with the Chief Brand Marketing Officer to execute marketing strategy, planning and project management of marketing activities across organizational objectives and for cross-functional initiatives to accomplish the strategic priorities, mission and vision of the organization.
· Lead and collaborate with the Art Dept, Creative services, Social, Styling and PR teams; informing, assessing, and addressing issues that affect the team and organization, developing and implementing the marketing and communication strategy.
· Monitor, adhere to and reconcile the annual brand marketing and PR operating budget, accurately capturing expenses and ROI and ensuring budget performance and management.
· Develop and implement collateral to be used for full funnel brand marketing
· Develop and implement global media buy.
· Implement and execute global retail marketing initiatives.
· Manage all marketing planning and project Management team members and day-to-day operations related to marketing strategy development, planning and project management.
· Leverage and build key partnerships to support marketing plans, communicate messaging, drive growth, and engage customers.
· Create and manage standardized marketing and communication processes, including operating procedures and quality assurance.
· Develops and manages the Company’s internal communications and branding initiatives.
· Determine best practices for oversight of marketing strategy development, planning and project management, including evaluation and implementation of process changes as necessary.
· Oversee integrated marketing communication to internal stakeholders, including marketing plans, aligning product calendar, process updates and changes ensuring understanding and support across the organization.
· Maintain a deep understanding of marketing trends, utilizes a research based approach to identify key messages and audiences, and works consistently to form and amplify a consistent brand narrative and aesthetic according to brand TOV and vision.
· Provide leadership and set current and long-term goals for internal teams and external social and PR agencies.
· Strategize and focus on elevating the brand’s public perception and reputation.
· Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results, alongside management of external agencies across social and PR.
· Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing, social and PR metrics for the CMO, founder and CEO.
· Conduct and compare market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth.
· Implement and ensure consistent brand TOV and vision upheld across all marketing, creative and communication touch points.
Requirements and Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of Social Landscape.
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, public relations or creative subject.
- Strong idea generator, ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- At least 10+ years experience in a senior role within marketing, communications, and/or public relations / advertising agency or related area with an emphasis on luxury, fashion strategy and marketing.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Proficient knowledge of global PR markets
- Solid knowledge of SEO, web analytics and Google AdWords.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult, quick decisions.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Solid knowledge of Luxury Fashion & Hospitality PR Landscape.
- Team player who operates well in a dynamic, all hands-on deck environment.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe suite.
- Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
- Chinese/Mandarin speaking an added benefit

In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the potential salary for this position is from $200,000 to $220,000, which represents a range commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills required.
