Job Description

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. Some remote opportunities are available within specific departments. There are also roles that require being on-site full time. You’ll learn more about this during the application process.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for orchestrating and integrating cross-division marketing and sales efforts to drive operational excellence and innovation. Serves as executive leader in establishing and supporting cross functional networks to elevate awareness, understanding and integration of key programs and capabilities across the division, ensuring resources are aligned with strategy and optimized to achieve desired business results. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of division-wide processes to increase effectiveness and establish best practices. Champions division-wide efforts to position UPR Marketing & Sales as an outstanding place to work and grow. Partners with all UPR Marketing & Sales functional groups, Human Resources and Finance.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

STRATEGIC PLANNING AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL INITIATIVE LEADERSHIP

  • Drive cross-functional orchestration across UPR Marketing & Sales to ensure campaign, program and capability development resources are aligned, measured holistically, and communicated effectively.
  • Partner with Global Strategic Services (GSS) to develop Destination-level business goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with UPR strategic priorities.
  • Partner to align various program/project management efforts across IMC, Digital + Technology and Universal Creative to integrate roadmaps across relevant bodies of work.
  • Serve as trusted partner with leaders across UPR Marketing & Sales, Universal Creative, Finance, Human Resources and Destination Leadership, contributing to the broader business dialogue.
  • Support efforts to define and monitor KPIs identified in short- and long-range strategic planning, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution.

PEOPLE AND CULTURE

  • Develop a comprehensive Team Member communication strategy to drive knowledge-sharing, engagement, and cross-functional team performance.
  • Partner with Human Resource, including Talent Acquisition and Talent Development to design and implement a formal approach to internships and college recruitment, a comprehensive on-boarding program, and a network of professional development resources.
  • Direct TSAT cross-functional teams across Marketing & Sales to establish and manage Team Member engagement programs designed to drive satisfaction and retention.
  • Support efforts to foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT

  • Lead division-wide process and continuous improvement efforts to eliminate pain points and remove friction to ensure resources are aligned and optimized.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and enhance the way individual teams within Marketing and Sales work together to deliver on business objectives, including forums and communications to drive cross functional collaboration, stakeholder input and leadership approval.
  • Develop and implement a technology support strategy to ensure efficient and impactful workflow management and reporting/communication between teams.

TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Build a high-performing team to achieve and exceed goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and mentor direct reports and team members in day-to-day management of work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required. Advanced degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 12+ years in marketing and sales is required, with emphasis on strategic planning, operational integration, and business transformation initiatives, including process improvement and change management.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Experience with program/project management software/tools desired, WorkFront preferred.
