GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Vice President, Loss Prevention is responsible for protecting the assets of the company by consistently delivering the four Loss Prevention Key Objectives. This is accomplished by effectively managing Developing Great Teams and Partnerships, Mitigating Theft and Fraud, Maintaining Safe and Secure Environments, and Minimizing Operational Shortage. Vice President will also be responsible for the consistent execution of LP systems, processes, tools, technology, and LP programs. Works closely with partners in various pyramids within the company to help deliver the company and LP mission. The Vice President must be results oriented with excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be effective at developing effective partnerships and managing execution at a company-wide level.
The base salary range for this role is $165,100 - $310,600. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Developing Great People & Partnerships
  • Effective collaboration with internal and external partners to provide collaborative solutions.
  • Drives the onboarding, ongoing training and development, and performance management of LP associates in the company.
  • Works closely with pyramids within the company to ensure field teams have the proper support and resources to effectively execute the LP mission.
  • Broadly communicates and reinforces the LP mission among team and partners.
  • Identify and Recruit Top Talent for all Loss Prevention associates.
  • Responsible for the development and execution LP policies, best practices, and procedures.

Mitigating Theft & Fraud
  • Maximizes the execution of company merchandise protection tools and resources.
  • Strategically drives the identification, investigation and resolution of company theft and fraud.
  • Fosters strong partnerships with Operations, HR, legal, and Corporate to drive results within the company.
  • Leads theft investigative processes; ensures compliance and consistency around Ross policies and procedures.
  • Strategically leverages exception and store reporting systems to identify and resolve theft.
  • Manage allocation of LP theft resources within the company.
  • Identifies trends that have the potential to cause loss.

Maintaining Safe & Secure Environments
  • Protects the brand by ensuring safe and secure issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Provides physical security expertise and ensure proper functionality of store-based security technologies.
  • Execute effective crisis management and incident response.
  • Drives General Liability and Workers Compensation (WC) reduction for assigned areas.

Minimizing Operational Shortage
  • Achieve shortage reduction goals for assigned regions and the company.
  • Partner with operations and other pyramids stores to develop action plans to address/minimize operational shortage.
  • Strategically responds to shortage processes and analytics by driving store execution and surfaces trends that may have company impact.
  • Builds and maintains LP awareness through effective programs.
  • Ensure all Loss Prevention shortage visits and assessments are conducted consistently with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Actively participates and or leads company committees as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Loss Prevention Leadership at an enterprise level (Field and/or Corporate).
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • BA Degree or greater, preferably in Business, Criminal Justice or other related fields or five years of directly related experience may be substituted.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong team leadership, relationship building and cross-functional management experience. Experience leading high-performance teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the successful implementation of loss prevention, shortage control, accident reduction and fraud prevention programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
  • This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. This position requires the ability to use a computer, work as part of a team, and the ability to communicate with team members and others. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
