Job Description

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN HOUSTON, TX. RELOCATION TO AREA IS A REQUIREMENT. COMPANY WILL PROVIDED RELOCATION EXPENSES


Position Overview & Summary:

We are seeking an innovative Vice President, Human Resources who is open to, and capable of, engaging with corporate executives and various division stakeholders. This relationship builder will be instrumental in defining the next-level corporate wide human resource initiatives for an organization with multiple manufacturing locations and 11,000 employees and $950M in revenues.


The candidate will be a high-energy, HR executive who will embrace the company’s core values and goals and bring about robust integrated HR programs aligned with the business plan and objectives. This executive will be responsible for all aspects of human resource policy, practices, and strategy. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader of people through humility, and able to influence leadership through analysis and accountability.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Value-Driven Culture: Partner with Division Executive Leadership Team to weave company values into the fabric of the talent strategy, inclusive of talent attraction, selection, performance management, development, retention, and experience. Identify and implement available tools and technology to promote employee communication and employee engagement.
  • Core HR & Culture: Lead the corporate human resources and administration function, with responsibility for talent development, succession planning, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and acquisition integration across the organization.
  • Executive Human Resource Leadership: Be a strategic executive partner and advisor to the President & CEO and all stakeholders throughout the organization. Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in the areas of employee relations, conflict resolution, HR organizational design and development.
  • HR Programs & Planning: After learning the business, industry, and culture, partner with leadership to roadmap and drive the implementation of effective HR programs, initiatives, and functional improvements. These programs should be tailored to the unique challenges of the industries they serve, foster a positive organizational culture, and support business objectives.
  • Performance Management: After learning the business, industry, and culture, partner with leadership to roadmap and drive the design, implementation, and roll-out of a performance management program as part of a culture that values continuous improvement and innovation and professional and personal development. Provide proactive strategic guidance and support for organizational planning and development initiatives that align the HR agenda in support of key business strategies and initiatives.
  • Drive Talent Management: In collaboration with business leaders, vice presidents, and division leads, identify, develop, and deploy employee experience programs and campaigns that unify and promote company culture. Champion a culture of results orientation, collaboration, employee development, open communication, innovation and inclusion to become an employee of choice.


Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in business or human resources or similar degree with at least 15 years HR experience in progressive HR roles. Master’s degree preferred. Must have at least 5 years of leading an HR organization for a multi-divisional manufacturing or industrial corporation. Must have experience in the following:

  • Hands-on astute HR professional with an analytical mind. Well spoken, articulate, convincing and engaging to stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding in organizational design, performance management, compensation & benefits, strategies for employee retention, leadership development, training and succession planning.
  • A demonstrated history of continuous improvement, driving change initiatives.
