Job Description

Who are we looking for?

In addition to understanding our Statement of Faith, the candidate selected for this role can provide strategic direction and oversight to the credit union’s consumer digital banking business.

What’s distinctive about this position?

The candidate selected for this position will contribute to maintaining and growing the consumer membership base by leading the formation of a compelling consumer digital banking strategy, establishing the strategic direction of the consumer banking platform, and delivering the desired consumer member experience to achieve enterprise mission, vision, and goals. This position is primarily performed remotely from home; occasional meetings at the Brea, CA office may be required.

What are some responsibilities of this position?

  • Provides strategic and organizational leadership in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsible for compliance with OFAC/USA PATRIOT Act and the Customer Identification Program as applicable to the position.
  • Leads in the creation and management of an expanding consumer digital banking function within the organization.
  • Responsible for consumer digital banking (non-lending) strategy and business planning, scorecards, and roadmaps related to consumer digital banking growth.
  • Establishes and drives for achievement of consumer membership, deposit, and non-interest income goals.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting unusual and suspicious activity under the requirements of the BSA/Anti-Money Laundering Act as applicable to the position.
  • Responsible for the overall growth and profitability of consumer (non-lending) products and services, including consumer membership, deposits, fee income and future expansion into investments, insurance, and other products/services.

What are some requirements of this position?

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA or related Master’s preferred) with at least 10 years of banking or credit union industry experience.
  • Practical experience in consumer product management and marketing.
  • Broad understanding of financial services, including applicable laws and regulations pertaining to consumer products, payment systems, operational functions and processes, and delivery channels.
  • Track record of increasing leadership and management responsibilities serving targeted consumers in a credit union or banking environment.
  • Active depth and breadth of ministry service through a local church and/or non-profits. International ministry experience a plus.
  • Ability to successfully execute strategies for attaining growth and profitability in consumer digital banking.
  • Ability to apply consumer digital banking knowledge, standards, and practices in a fully digital environment.
