Position Overview

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Vice President, Assistant Corporate Controller oversees consolidation, period end journal entries, general ledger, revenue recognition and reconciliation, inventory valuation, internal management report etc. Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. Ensures integration of data produced into systems and supports objectives of financial analysts. Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data. Leads annual audits, quarterly reviews and special projects. This position involves significant interaction with external auditors, finance staff, and process owners in other functions. Ensures proper recordkeeping for document retention. Hires, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead ad hoc and special projects teams
• Manage month-end closing and financial reporting process
• Build and maintain accounting documentation and procedures
• Develop accounting and system controls
• Perform financial statement reviews and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial results
• Collaborate with senior executives on accounting and finance topics
• Provide technical accounting solutions and support to legal entity accounting teams

Qualifications:

• Extensive leadership experience and interaction with all levels of management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Experience with SAP or another comparable ERP system
• Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Experience in evaluating and documenting complex technical positions across broad areas of accounting
• Experience in accounting for significant and complex business transactions including debt and equity offerings, derivatives, acquisitions and divestitures
• Public accounting and auditing experience preferred
• Experience analyzing large amounts of financial data
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; 15-20 years of experience in finance, accounting and external reporting; high-tech industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$251,645.00 - $313,317.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
