Zhou B Art Center is seeking an individual who is enthusiastic about assisting clients execute their wedding or event within our venue! The ideal Venue Event Coordinator should be organized and driven to meet sales goals. Venue Sale Coordinator reports to the Managing Director. This position is part time and is perfect for anyone looking for a weekend position. Schedule is made 2-4 weeks ahead of time. Schedule is based on our booked events and shifts can range from 6 to 10 hours. This position is not a planning position and strictly overseeing for the venue.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure day of staff arrives and clocks in (if applicable to event)
- Communication day of event with clients and vendors.
- Perform other relevant tasks as required.
- Maintain an exemplary level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues.
- Overseeing the venue to make sure all regulations are followed for the best success of the event and safety of the building
- Open and close the venue at the beginning and end of each event
- Identify the client’s expectations and gain a complete understanding of the requirements for each event.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism throughout.
- Work alongside the event team to be prepped and able to assist in each event.
The perfect Candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail , multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills.
- Bachelor degree in hospitality or related industry preferred but not required
- Ability to pivot based on clients’ needs.
- The ability to work with minimal to no supervision.
- Applicants must be over the age of 21.
- Has reliable transportation
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Has previous experience in catering, venue or other event/hospitality related industry position
