Valet Driver - Houston Methodist Hospital Medical Office Buildings

Under the direct supervision of the ramp manager, this position will perform according to established procedures a variety of valet duties to maintain a high quality of service that meets and exceeds the company code of conduct.

Job Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

• Abides by State driver safety rules.
• Keycards are provided for utilization while on duty for sole purpose of parking customer’s vehicles.
• Assists in enhancing productivity and efficient operations of the department.
• Maintains responsibility to keep a neat and professional personal appearance adhering to the departmental and hospital dress code.
• All valet vehicles and, keys are to be secured at all times.
• Maintains vehicles in the same condition or state that the owner trusts them to our care.
• Will maintain responsibility for money handling as assigned by Supervisor in a fair and ethical manner.
• Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to departmental and company annual training commitments.
• Follows appropriate protocol for traffic rules.
• Promotes effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships, maintaining professional conduct at all times.
• Maintains responsibility for attendance and punctuality.
• Maintain all assigned loading areas in a clean and neat manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This position, therefore, requires grade school graduation or equivalent in academic attainment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be fluent in verbal English. Other languages are a plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
None required.

REASONING ABILITY
Position utilizes common sense driven by common courtesy. Must be able to relate to customer’s needs and respond appropriately.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Membership in any Valet Association will be viewed as a hiring advantage, but not mandatory.
Employees must have a no less than a class C driver’s license for the state of Texas.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Assignment areas are generally outside, or near entries for driveway/ramps. Environmental condition may include but are not limited to: slippery surfaces from rain, exposure to direct sunlight, seasonal cold, and auto exhaust to name a few.
