Overview
Topgolf Media is looking for a UI Artist to continue developing the UI style of the game. The primary responsibility is to maintain the product’s Style Guide for internal and external use. Additional responsibilities including converting UX Designs into usable UI mockups for mobile games. And work with other Artists and Engineers to get panels in the game and up to spec, and convert mockups into usable game assets, assist with marketing materials as needed.
Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UX designers and UI artists to deliver the best possible user experience
• Assist with product and sprint planning, and provide helpful feedback
• Review wireframes, mockups, user flows, and prototypes, and find flaws before asset creation begins
• Bug fixing
• Be cognizant of competing games and features, and play TGM games
• Work closely with a cross functional pod of engineers, product managers, and artists to build fun and intuitive features for our players
• Create compelling UI panels in a responsive design and ready for localization, while allowing for transitions or other motion to help bring them to life. Create icons and other sprites needed throughout the game. Adhere to an existing style guide while noting areas in need of improvement

Qualifications

• Strong and opinionated game designer with a solid foundation in visual design
• 2+ years Game Development
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• An understanding that design is not just how it looks but how it acts, works and feels
• Strong Understanding and passion for creating fun, engaging, and intuitive UX for mobile players
• Excellent creative, conceptual, and critical thinking capabilities
• 2+ years Photoshop, Illustrator, or other 2D software in a professional setting - required
• Strong understanding of product development
• Ability to bridge the gap between design and UI
• 1+ years experience with some wire framing software
• Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to take charge or play a supporting role
• Bachelor’s Degree in Game Design, UX, Art, Animation, or similar, preferred
• 1+ years experience using version control software
• 5+ years Drawing or illustration in any field or as a student
• 1+ years development with the Unity game engine
