18-month contract
Responsibilities
Conduct research and development activities in the areas of ARVR and UI, including but not limited to:
oDesign and implement novel interaction techniques and user interfaces for ARVR systems and applications.
oInvestigate user behavior and preferences in ARVR environments through user studies and experiments and explore new techniques and algorithms for enhancing user comfort, presence, and interaction in ARVR systems.
oCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ARVR technologies into existing products or develop new ones.
oDesign and implement demonstration systems; create new features, from a technical specification or a reference implementation; conduct demo system maintenance and bug fixing
oInnovate ARVR and HCI solutions and develop intelligent algorithms and immersive ARVR applications and experiences that leverage state-of-the-art technologies, such as new machine learning algorithms.
Qualifications
·BS, MS, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, HCI, or a related field. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
·Background knowledge and expertise in ARVR, UI, computer vision, and/or computer graphics technologies, including knowledge of AR/VR hardware, tracking systems, and rendering techniques.
·UI experience with Unity, Unreal and/or OpenGL a plus
·Proficiency in programming languages, such as C++, C#, and/or python
·Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
·Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts and testing results effectively
·A proven track record of research publications in reputable conferences or journals is highly desirable.
·Prior experience working on ARVR and HCI R&D projects, either in an academic or industry setting, is a plus.
