About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a UAS Training & Safety Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing advanced drone training to our clients and developing aviation safety procedures in accordance with FAA regulations. Your expertise in drone operations, FAA waivers, military-based training, safety processes, and lesson planning will be crucial in delivering effective and comprehensive instruction to our students.

Your Responsibilities:

- Conduct advanced drone training sessions for clients onsite, ensuring a high level of instruction quality and safety.
- Develop and implement aviation safety procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and industry best practices at our TX Joint AIR Center.
- Utilize your knowledge and experience in advanced drone operations to train students on various drone models, flight techniques, and mission-specific scenarios.
- Create military-based training classes that incorporate structured discipline, attention to detail, and real-world simulations to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific training needs and customize lesson plans accordingly.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in drone technology, regulations, and industry trends to continuously enhance the training curriculum.
- Assist clients in preparing and submitting FAA waivers for specialized drone operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to measure student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them develop their skills in drone operations and safety practices.
- Maintain a professional and safe training environment, adhering to strict safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Travel may be required to industry trade shows and client training sessions

Qualifications:

- Extensive experience in advanced drone operations, preferably in a military or law enforcement setting.
- Strong understanding of FAA regulations and experience in submitting waivers for specialized drone operations.
- Proven ability to develop aviation safety procedures and protocols to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Previous experience in designing and delivering training classes or programs to military personnel is highly desirable.
- Excellent instructional and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to students of varying skill levels.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to develop comprehensive lesson plans and training schedules.
- Ability to adapt and customize training approaches to meet the unique needs and objectives of diverse clients.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to maintain a structured learning environment during training sessions.
- Proficiency in using drone flight software, flight simulators, and other relevant tools.
- Valid FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) is required.
