About This Position

Edge Autonomy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a UAS Pilot/Technician/Instructor. This role involves operating unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), providing technical support, and delivering training to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate should possess FAA pilot ratings, CFI certification, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to conduct demonstrations and equipment testing.

Responsibilities

Perform UAS Operations:

• Adhere to FAA regulations and guidelines, ensuring compliance during UAS operations and training activities.
• Stay updated with the latest UAS technology advancements and industry trends. Training Delivery:
• Conduct demonstrations and simulations to enhance trainees' understanding and proficiency. Safety and Compliance:
• Conduct pre-flight inspections, mission planning, and post-flight analysis.
• Maintain and troubleshoot UAS equipment, including performing repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct equipment testing and evaluation to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Instruct and guide individuals in UAS piloting techniques, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Operate unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in compliance with FAA regulations and company guidelines.
• Ensure safe and efficient UAS operations in various operational environments. Technical Support:
• Develop and deliver UAS training programs for both internal personnel and external clients.
• Assist in the development and implementation of safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Promote and maintain a culture of safety, emphasizing best practices and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience.
• Excellent communication and instructional skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to trainees.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in UAS equipment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to meticulously follow operational protocols and safety procedures.
• CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) certification is highly desirable.
• Experience in conducting demonstrations and equipment testing.
• Knowledge of UAS technology, airspace regulations, and industry best practices.
• FAA pilot-rated with UAS endorsement.
