Job Description
Technical Sales Manager- WATER Treatment


Location: Anywhere in the USA can be Hybrid or Remote


$100-125k + quarterly bonus Travel 20%

Responsibilities:


  • Clarify, align, and prioritize all product design/engineering-related tasks & initiatives.
  • Ownership & leadership of all technical product aspects (Product Engineering/Design, 3D Models, R&D, Design/Estimating Programs, etc…)
  • Collaborate with manufacturing on optimizing product fabrication and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Automate SolidWorks models based on standards with API logic.
  • Final review & approval of all product design/engineering standards
  • Manage & automate master SolidWorks models improving speed & accuracy of downstream CAD process.
  • Develop eloquent designs that simplify the complexities and intricacies of the products reducing overall costs.
  • Enhance products to solve real-world market conditions with specifiable features.
  • Product tool creation & improvement (Engineering programs, application/process programs, etc.)
  • Continuous product improvement focused on overall cost reduction & improved functionality.
  • Create/update/maintain estimating spreadsheets.
  • Create Pre-Engineering SolidWorks models.
  • Analyze & evaluate finished Epicor project costs for accuracy and areas of continuous product improvement.
  • Some travel to plant sites is required for research and product advancement.
  • Execute the design, prototyping, and testing of products to ensure they meet guidelines for standards/functionality.
  • Develop, set, and manage all product standards.
  • Develop, lead, and manage new product enhancement and research & development initiatives.


Qualifications


  • Strong communication skills, flexible, easy to work with, ability to take direction, and complete tasks on time.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes such as folding, punching, cutting, lasering, welding, machining, etc.
  • High-level computer programming proficiency with proven ability to create robust product/engineering tools.
  • Expert-level Microsoft Excel proficiency with proven ability to create robust product/engineering tools.
  • Desired experience with power transmission equipment including motors, gearboxes, chain drives, shafts & bearings.
  • High-level of knowledge/experience with applying engineering principals to electro-mechanical equipment/products
  • Desired Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong attention to detail, extremely organized, and self-motivated
  • High-level of combined experience in product design, product/application engineering, and research & development
  • Desired experience with structural design and analysis software (RISA)
  • High-level of knowledge/experience with completing complex engineering calculations
  • Desired experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • High-level of proficiency with Microsoft 365: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a creative yet logical thought process
  • Expert-level SolidWorks proficiency with proven ability to create robust 3D models utilizing API for automation.
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant fields of engineering
