Job Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter to join our growing team!

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Technical Recruiter role would help Binary Defense grow and scale in 2023 and beyond. This position would be the main contact for recruiting (mainly technical in nature) roles and onboarding new employees to our team. The Technical Recruiter would work directly with Leadership to define roles and responsibilities, find qualified candidates in a timely manner, extend offers and onboard them into the organization successfully.

  • Assist Hiring Managers with formal job descriptions, maintain repository of information
  • Work with Leaders and Finance to define roles and responsibilities, gain internal approvals, and open new/repurposed positions in HR system and other recruitment portals
  • Work with Finance and Business Unit Leaders on requests and projects, as needed
  • Work with Leaders and Finance to gain offer approvals, and extend verbal and written offers
  • Assist Hiring Managers with setting up interview schedules, interviews, and tracking candidate status
  • Meet weekly with Hiring Managers to discuss progress on search, including troubleshooting and pivoting on recruitment strategy where needed
  • Maintain contact with offer accepted candidates through successful onboarding into the organization
  • Other projects and responsibilities, as assigned by the Director of HR
  • Take offer accepted candidates through completion of Onboarding portal and New Hire checklist items in coordination with HR Payroll/Benefits Specialist
  • Inform candidates of rejection of application for those who have went through any stage of the interview process with Binary Defense
  • Be the Lead Recruiter to find qualified candidates, including efforts with LinkedIn Recruiter, Job Target Programmatic campaign and other ad hoc resources
Requirements:

Education/Experience

  • Proven track record of success with hiring technical candidates authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, and without the use of third party vendors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • 3+ years related experience in a technical recruiting role (Software Engineering being the main focus of roles hired, for example)

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • People-oriented, able to build solid professional relationships
  • General knowledge of employment law, both nationwide and multi-state
  • Proficient experience with at least one HRIS platform, performing a recruiting function within it
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize with daily work
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to problem solve and find creative solutions
  • Desire to learn and grow; ambitious with career
  • Trust-worthy and compassionate

Preferred

  • Prior experience with Paylocity as an HRIS system
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification
  • Prior experience recruiting for a cybersecurity company
