Role description
This is a hands-on freelance role based in North America. You will be a member of the Quality Improvement (QI) Team responsible for the delivery of exceptional instructor-led training (ILT) solutions, eLearning products, and a mental health initiative spanning multiple time zones. You will work with the QI Team to support the development Team, which consists of a project manager (PM), instructional designers (IDs), lead IDs, subject matter experts (SMEs), graphic designers (GDs), and media developers (MDs). You will report to the Quality Manager.The ideal candidate thrives in a culture of learning that fosters and supports professional development and growth.

Role responsibilities
- You will be reviewing eLearning products for functionality and conformance with Client and industry standards.
- You will be converting existing assets into new, branded, and accessible templates.
- You will be making direct edits in Rise, Storyline, PowerPoint, and Word.
- You will write alt text, verify screen reading and tabbing order, and ensure asset colors meet accessibility guidelines.
- Accessibility and branding are the focus of this project.
Required education and certification
- Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Education, English, Journalism, Communications, or related postsecondary education or equivalent job experience
Required skills and experience
- Strong Team, interpersonal, and communication skills and the ability to navigate and work through challenges with a positive attitude
- A minimum of three years' experience in the following areas: ILT, technical writing, proofreading, eLearning, or training
- Ability to work successfully with a global, virtual Team spread across multiple time zones
- Excellent editing skills and standard computing skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Experience testing accessibility using Rise, Storyline, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word
- Knowledge and experience editing within Storyline is a plus, but not required
- A PC is required (no Apple/MACs)
- Flexibility, self-motivation, capacity to focus on routine tasks, and ability to work to deadlines
- Experience with accessibility (writing alt text, using accessible language, verifying screen reading and tabbing order, keyboard navigation) is highly recommended
- Very strong attention to detail
- Ability to give and receive feedback at all levels
- Proficiency and experience making edits directly within Rise and PowerPoint required
