a Brief Overview
As part of the Talent Acquisition and Talent Management Center of Excellence (COE) within the HR Team, this role contributes to Orchid's strategy of attracting, training, retaining, engaging, and empowering team members through a culture of continuous improvement by focusing on two primary job functions: #1 - Advising the HR Partners and Managers in one of Orchid's divisions on Talent Acquisition and Talent Management processes, tools, and initiatives. This comprises about 60% of the job duties. #2 - Supporting the design, development, and implementation of Talent Acquisition and Talent Management processes and tools. This comprises about 40% of the job duties.
This is a hybrid position, you must be able to work on-site at least once per week at Orchid's locations in Lansing, MI; Farmington Hills, MI; Memphis, TN; or Oregon City, OR.
What You Will Do
  • Increase employee engagement and retention by driving site-level data analysis and action planning.
  • Improve leadership and team effectiveness by facilitating new leader onboarding, teambuilding events, training, and more.
  • Improve time-to-fill, quality of hire, candidate experience, and other critical talent acquisition outcomes by attending weekly recruiting calls and conducting weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual auditing, data analysis, and action planning.
  • Support the design, development, and implementation of Talent Acquisition and Talent Management processes and tools such as creating an interview guide library, forming Orchid's Employer Value Proposition, building new team member onboarding, etc.
  • Train HR Partners and Managers on processes and tools.
  • Coach on Orchid's Conversation Cycle which includes goal setting, performance reviews, talent reviews, career/development planning, succession planning, and more.
  • Support the implementation and sustainment of Orchid's systems for on-the-job training, job leveling, and compensation.
  • Ensure Orchid is well-known in our communities and has a diverse candidate pipeline by managing site-level Outreach and Advertising plans.
  • Review transactions and data in Orchid's HRIS (Workday) for accuracy and compliance.
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology (Preferred)
  • Bachelor (Required)
Experience Qualifications
  • Experience working in a multi-site manufacturing environment (Preferred)
  • Previous experience utilizing data to drive process improvement (Preferred)
  • Experience in Talent Acquisition for a Federally Subcontracted Organization (Preferred)
  • 3+ Years of HR Experience as a HR Partner, Generalist, or Specialist (Required)
  • Experience leading, managing, and facilitating HR/Talent Alignment initiatives (Required)
  • Experience using Workday, or a similar HRIS (Preferred)
