Job Description
Firetrace, a subsidiary of Halma plc, and a global manufacturer of life-saving fire suppression devices, has an immediate need for a highly successful, well-respected Manager – Talent & Culture. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a human resources background, strong business skills, proven leadership abilities, and demonstrated strategic thinking to work alongside a strong leadership team and drive future success for Firetrace. This role will help us reach our purpose where we protect lives and livelihoods by eliminating the impact of fire.


Responsibilities


This is a management-level position, reporting to the Firetrace President and supporting the Company’s Board of Directors. As such, the Manager – Talent & Culture is directly engaged in our strategic planning and shares responsibility for the future growth and success of the Company. An ability to provide both long-term vision as well as day-to-day practical solutions is critical for this role. As Manager – Talent & Culture, you will be responsible for all Human Resources activities and partner with different stakeholders to help build and deliver on key business strategies. You will specifically be expected to:


  • Strategically manage relationships with temporary agencies
  • Interact frequently with employees and effectively address, document and monitor all employee relations
  • Promote an inclusive culture that focuses on diverse backgrounds, skill sets, and opinions
  • Provide support and partner with management and associates during the annual talent management process, organization review, and salary planning process
  • Recommend best practices and new approaches for policies and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the Human Resources function and services provided
  • Lead international and domestic talent and recruitment strategies to meet the needs of the business using the appropriate mix of internal and external recruitment
  • Effectively communicate, establish trust, and maintain positive employee relations with all levels of management and employees
  • Manage our insurance partners to maintain our strong benefits package
  • Work with the executive team to drive development of internal talent and succession planning throughout our global organization
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are effectively communicated and compliant with all applicable federal and state law/regulations to minimize company’s exposure to legal risks
  • Provide comprehensive support within all facets of Human Resources
  • Promote Firetrace’s values and behaviors, while driving engagement within the organization


Requirements


  • Ability to lead talent development and selection programs
  • Have a general knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and payroll programs
  • Experience with international recruiting
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience building relationships with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable building and influencing compensation programs
  • At least 7 years of professional experience with some management experience
  • Capable of increasing employee engagement
  • Detail oriented, with strong oral/written communication skills


Location


  • Relocation assistance will be provided, with local candidates preferred
  • This role is based in Scottsdale, Arizona
