Systems Analyst- Production Accounting

Southwestern Energy is searching for a Systems Analyst to join our Production Accounting support team. As a Systems Analyst, you will analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems specific to our production accounting team. You will lead projects and act as a primary support for the group. This position will report directly to the Manager of Enterprise Corporate Applications, and is located at our main campus in Spring, Texas. This position will require on call and after hours support, including weekends and holidays.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will

• Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
• Troubleshoot program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning.
• Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems.
• Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
• Lead mid-sized projects
• Have experience working with Production Accounting Systems in the Oil and Gas industry, such as Enertia, ProCount, Enterprise Upstream, Quorum, etc.
• Assess the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapt them to a user environment.
• Define the goals of the system and devise flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of programs.

Your Background Includes

• Experience with upstream oil and gas Production Accounting software such as Enertia, ProCount, Enterprise Upstream, Quorum, etc.
• Experience integrating data using application API’s and loaders
• Experience querying and developing in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Experience working with data from oil and gas SCADA software such as CygNet, Ignition, eLynx, etc.
• Minimum of 5 years of Systems Analysis experience
• Preferred minor degree in Accounting
• Experience with Production Accounting and Field Data Capture applications and systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or MIS
