Job Description

Intellicomm Inc., a cloud communications software firm located in Wayne, PA, is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator for a Microsoft Windows environment. This is an in-person position (no remote/hybrid).


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Ongoing documentation of IT systems and procedures.
  • Escalate hardware and software problems to vendors.
  • Utilizing collected data to proactively plan capacity and performance improvements.
  • This position requires occasional after-hours support in emergency cases.
  • Administration of SQL Server databases, including backup and recovery procedures. SQL Server troubleshooting and monitoring.
  • Management of LAN connections, Internet connections, firewalls, and routers.
  • Installation and upgrades of both hardware and software; installation of system patches.
  • Backing up data as well as testing disaster recovery procedures and policies.
  • Resolving problems experienced with hardware, network, operating systems, applications, including database, DNS, and FTP.
  • Monitoring and maintenance of system health which consists of system network and production applications.
  • Maintenance of company email servers and web servers.
  • Maintenance of virtual machine instances.
  • Ensuring data integrity in production environment.


Qualifications:


  • Experience with email servers.
  • Experience with IIS and SQL Server is preferred.
  • Install and maintain VMWare hosts and virtual machines.
  • Experience with configuring Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Sound verbal and written communications as well as active listening skills.
  • Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 2 - 3 years work experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Build, install, and maintain Windows servers and workstations on a system network.
