Role: Systems Administrator

Location: Hybrid(Harrisburg, PA)

Emp Type:C2C

***This requisition requiresonsite in-person (at The Server Farm) first round interviews only***

***The individual will need to physically report to The Server Farm in Harrisburg, PA in order for first day processing, possible badging and to pick up commonwealth-issued equipment.***

***For this position the individual will work from home four days a week and will come to the office one day a week (staff normally comes in on Wednesdays).***

*** Weekend, shift work, holiday, on-call, and overtime may be required ***

*** Work may require lifting equipment/supplies ***

*** Work may require travel to and from the various locations ***

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cater to doing infrastructure coordinationrelated to design and setup activities at different stages of a project
• Experience with multidomain Active Directory forests
• Experience withdistributed web application hosting
• Places service calls for servers, network equipment and UPS’s.
• Work within strict time frames and elevate incidents within defined timeframes
• Deploy application code through development lifecyclein coordination with development teams
• Participates indisaster recovery drills.
• Performs Network Management functionsusing various management and monitoring tools available including sophisticated network management systems.
• Good knowledge of security as it relates to network and server infrastructure
• Proactively plans for business continuity and disaster avoidance.
• Ability to analyzenetwork packet captures
• Determines server sizing and configuration, printer configuration, bandwidth analysis and capacity planning.
• Good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends
• Provide all required information to assure a complete and accurate equipment inventory.
• Maintain good working relationships with all service providers and vendor to ensure that services received meet expected requirements of contract
• Monitors the availability of updates/upgrades to all server hardware, tests and installs updates/upgrades.
• Knowledge ofITIL and industry best practices
• Monitors service delivery complianceto budget, quality standards and customer and business stakeholder requirements
• Ability to identify incident trends to elevate incidents in accordance with standard protocols
• Experience usingautomated monitoring tools
• StrongVirtualizationexperience usingVMWare vSphere
• Monitor systems and identify performance issues proactively
• Perform related duties as required.
• Interact and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, distributors and contract consultants
• Ability to maintain good working relationships withthird party service providers and vendors
• Installs/configures servers and server software/drivers.
• Creates/updates disaster recovery plans.
• Responsible for management, maintenance and architecture ofstorage, virtualized environment, servers, network devices, and productivity tools
• Experience withMicrosoft clustering technologies
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Solid technical background in aclient/server environment including infrastructure networks, hardware, software, and telecommunications
• Assists in thedevelopment of configuration standards.
• Develops procedures and scripts for Service Desk.
• Work with partners and employees including IT coordinators in deployment activities.
• Professionally represent the infrastructure team as a technical consultant on projects.
• Test all changes to networks, hardware, software, and hosted applications
• Attend meetings with developers, users, and partners.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Maintain the necessary project plans and documentation of all system builds and modifications
• Able to gather relevant information systematically to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Work with various vendors and service providers to ensure productive environment
• Good attention to detail, testing and documentation
• Resolve issues and prepare status reviews and reports
• Unpack/pack computer equipment.
• Maintain and monitor allnetwork, security and computer systemsto meet the organization's current and future requirements
