Job Description

Summary:


The System Administrator - Desktop Support with AWS is responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of the company's desktop computers, servers, and cloud infrastructure. This includes tasks such as user provisioning, software installation, hardware maintenance, and security configuration. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as cloud computing platforms such as AWS.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide desktop support to employees, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and installing and configuring applications.
  • Create and manage Jira tickets for all help desk requests.
  • Work with end users to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide regular status updates to IT management on the status of open tickets.
  • Escalate tickets to the appropriate level of support as needed.
  • Maintain the company's cloud infrastructure, including provisioning and configuring AWS resources.
  • Work with other IT staff to develop and implement IT security policies and procedures.
  • Administer the company's servers, including managing user accounts, file permissions, and security settings.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices in system administration.

  • Qualifications:

    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • 1+ years of experience in system administration.
    • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
    • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS.
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
    • Experience with Jira ticketing system.
