Supply Chain Data Analyst Co-op

PURPOSE

Support and learn from the supply chain processes in Muscatine: using and analyzing data to create process insights, interpret trends, organize and standardize data sources, design and present data in a way that assists the team in decision-making, and troubleshooting.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

• Perform data analysis using standard statistical modeling, graphic analysis, tools, methods, and techniques that allows scenario-based analysis
• Prepare reports and dashboards stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
• Create data visualizations for key processes
• Consult with the team to identify user needs to compile, query, and visualize data
• Support Supply Chain digital transformation strategy
• Review existing data management sources and reports (Data One, Jarvis, SAP, MES) and identify how to match their capabilities with the team’s needs
• Generate standard or custom reports summarizing planning, transportation, inventory data
• Understand questions, identify data required, synthesize reports, identify patterns, and anticipate additional areas of interest
• Maintain and organize area databases, centralized and updated
• Convert complex data sets into reports that can easily be understood

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to commute daily to and from work location in Muscatine, IA
• Successfully completed sophomore year or higher and returning to school upon completion of the intern or co-op assignment.
• Current enrollment in bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field
• Proficient in Excel, Power BI.
• Willingness to work in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• At least overall GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale
