Job Description

This position provides guidance, leadership and direction for contracts and categories affecting millions in annual spend. This role will work with key members of our Supply Chain teams to ensure that all sourcing initiatives and strategies are aligned with business requirements. We’re looking for an individual that has keen negotiating skills and an ability to drive results that effect the bottom line.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Manage performance of inbound inventory providers using applicable performance metrics to ensure quality, service, efficiency, and delivery to specifications as set forth in agreements.
  • Build consensus and drive alignment amongst key stakeholders in support of supply chain and logistics initiatives and programs (sourcing, implementation, compliance).
  • Manage third party logistics provider metrics using historical data, current information, and metrics targets to optimize performance.
  • Drive improvement with third-party logistics provider by evaluating current operating IT, hardware, and network infrastructure and implementing for future enhancements.
  • Assess supplier and third-party logistics provider risks and develop appropriate contingency plans.
  • Support Inventory Control Functions by ensuring that all activities are performed to meet requirements.
  • Develop and implement warehouse operational processes improvements with a focus on operational accuracy, efficiency, and cost containment.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to establish the necessary routines with suppliers to manage quality, delivery, pricing, lead-time, stocking programs, and other performance criteria in support of the business.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supplier performance and increase the efficiency of logistics operations.
  • Inspect facility to assure adherence to safety and operating policies using Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or another related field.
  • 5+ years of logistics and/or procurement experience in the CPG or Supply Chain industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain financials and supply chain dynamics
  • Demonstrated ability to drive performance improvements from action plans derived from robust data analysis
  • Ability to read, interpret, and suggest improvements to contracts and other legal agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to model various business scenarios and analyze resulting costs, impacts, risks, and benefits to inform and recommend business solutions.
  • Well refined understanding of continuous improvement concepts and principles
  • Demonstrate the ability to assemble and analyze large quantities of data and conduct in depth analysis of the data, such as should-cost models, benchmarking.
