Supplier Auditor Jobs

The Sr. Ingredient Specialist (Supplier Auditor) is a member of the Supplier Quality group. As our next Supplier Auditor, you will be responsible to perform assessments for the Corbion Supplier Quality Management Programs to include ingredients, packaging materials, warehouses and co-packers. You will conduct on-site qualification audits to ensure that there is an independent quality and compliance overview performed regarding high risk suppliers and the materials they supply. You will be accountable for evaluating supplier risk and approving or rejecting suppliers. You will execute procedures that drive centralization and standardization and prepares supplier audit assessment reports for use in the regional organization. This position plays a decisive role in the interpretation of supplier quality management systems to ensure alignment with Corbion requirements and to ensure globally Corbion meets the regulating or certifying body's standards. This position requires direct involvement and engagement with multi-disciplinary groups and company leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understands evaluation of corrective and preventive actions to confirm responses are appropriate for the non-conformance observed, are implemented and deemed effective.
• Develop, collaborate and recommend opportunities of improvement for Corbion initiatives regarding supplier audits and assessments compared to GFSI, FSMA and other global standards to minimize Corbion risk exposure and improve upon supplier quality procedures.
• Lead and perform on-site audits or desk audits of Corbion suppliers and report audit findings in a clear, precise and factual way. Maintain routine follow-through with supplier to ensure audit findings are addressed and supplier provides complete corrective or preventative actions to address the root cause of the deviations.
• Continuous improvement projects as assigned.
• Proficient leader in supplier operational assessment review for raw material and consumable item compliance to govern approval status of supplier and item qualifications regionally.
• Takes a leading proactive role for trending and managing supplier audit reporting and responses, score-carding, security of supply, and other company tools for compliance oversight.

Qualifications:

• Understands organization and execution of regional TraceGains data management (or like system), technical document review and supplier and material risk assessments.
• Bachelors degree in science/business technical related field or related disciplines (Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering)
• Lead cross functional meetings to notify stakeholders of issues with suppliers identified during audits or during routine oversight activities (in person or teleconference).
• Manages own time and travel expenses to meet agreed targets and deliverables.
• Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks on time in a fast-changing environment and to successfully participate on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Preventive Controls for Human Food Qualified Individual (PCQI) Trained required.
• Subject expert in all or most of the product categories and the manufacturing / product fundamentals to perform risk analysis. Drive team advancement by training and developing Supplier Quality Team Auditors and Analysts.
• Expert understanding of general food safety principals, HACCP and HARPC, Food Safety, GMP requirements, organic, kosher and allergen management principles to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives of supplier and material qualification compared to GFSI, FSMA and other global standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with internal and external contacts.
• Accomplished knowledge of quality systems and product/process lifecycle management within the supply chain end-to-end process and a manufacturing environment to evaluate and determine risk to Corbion business.
• Auditing conditions are normal for industrial production environments.
• 6+ years in food/feed or pharma manufacturing, supply chain function or within a regulated industry.
• Solution-oriented, dependable self-starter with solid ability to participate in cross-functional teams to champion change throughout the organization.

• Travel 50-70% (domestic with potential for international)
