Job Description
What to Expect

The Security Operations Center Supervisor will supervise, organize, and evaluate the work of the SOC operators. The Supervisor will lead day-to-day activities and ensure productivity in alignment with policy and procedure. Additionally, the Supervisor will be responsible to ensure accurate reporting for all incidents that occur. This role will be based in Austin, TX and reports to the Associate Manager, Security Operations Center.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensure accurate reporting so that data from events can be collected and analyzed
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on team performance
  • Aid in the development and revision of security operation center procedures, protocols, and systems
  • Provide first-line supervision, mentoring, and leadership of team members
  • Coordinate with other SOC supervisors to ensure consistency across sites and uphold department standards
  • Conduct staff briefings to provide updates and assignments for the SOC staff
  • Develop and execute training for all SOC functions
  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective staffing and scheduling
What You’ll Bring

  • Flexibility to work all shifts, holidays, evenings and weekends as needed
  • Working knowledge of access control security systems and technology
  • Willingness to work alongside direct reports as well as handle disciplinary issues in a professional manner
  • Ability to respond quickly to security, safety, and sensitive situations
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, and Minimum 2 years of security operations center experience
  • Good working knowledge of security systems for access control, CCTV systems, badging systems, alarm monitoring systems
