We are seeking an operations manager to assist in organizing and growing with a leading creative technology firm. This is an agile role that depends on creativity, communication, and deadline management. The primary goal of this job is to help the team work efficiently by organizing project sprints and managing those sprints through completion. We want someone who enjoys making things productive, so our engineers can focus on the things they love to do.

This is essentially a two-part role, involving both studio management and project management for a team of 5. Our ideal candidate has experience with Jira (or similar project tracking software), is familiar with the arena of creative technology, and can work in-person from our nifty Dumbo office at least 3x per week.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring daily operations run in a timely, cost-effective manner
• Managing monthly expenses via Expensify
• Communicating tasks & timelines to contract hires
• Assisting in business development, from team brainstorms to packaging proposals
• Improving, maintaining, and implementing management systems & practices
• Overseeing client communications, from scheduling meetings to delivering project milestones
• Keeping projects on-track with goals, budgets, and deadlines
• Coordinating internal assessments for project budget estimates
• Social media posting & engagement
• Organizing & scheduling internal communication

Requirements:

• Organized & timely
• Respects the pun
• Tools: Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence primarily), Slack, Google Drive/Docs/Sheets, Dropbox, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
• Project management experience (in the field of technology/advertising/production a plus)
• Motivated to expand a small business
• Can thrive in a small team
