Job description
The Partnership Business Development team at Shoplazza is responsible for identifying, attracting, and growing these partnerships to drive new merchant growth and add value to our existing merchant base. The team is organized by service verticals, which means each Strategic Partnerships Manager becomes a domain expert in a specific service that our partners offer and our merchants need - Design, UX, Marketing, and Business Operations to name a few. We help partners grow their business with Shoplazza by identifying opportunities for them to fill, giving them visibility within our ecosystem, presenting co-marketing opportunities, etc. Our team works with partners around the world, with a focus on our core markets - Canada, USA, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. We identify high potential leads in these markets and nurture those leads into becoming active, high-performing partners. It’s common for the team to research and attend events relevant to their areas of focus as a way to meet and acquire more partners. We also play a pivotal role in shaping our annual Partner and Developer conference.
Tasks
- Work with Growth leadership, RVPs, strategic sourcing, and strategic initiative leaders to prioritize strategic relationships with the company.
- Work with the marketing team to develop professional, enterprise-quality marketing & selling materials, white papers, case studies, sales battle cards, and other important marketing support elements.
- Define and drive an ecosystem model across the entire merchants to partner with Shoplazza value chain, of all partner categories.
- Identify new partnership opportunities that have high potential to drive new merchants to Shoplazza or add significant value to our current merchant base
- Develop strong relationships with internal teams that align with your vertical. Represent Shoplazza at partner and industry and networking events as required (including attending, panel speaking etc.).
- Negotiate commercial agreements with our partners as needed.
- Build relationships with our top existing partners and give them the tools they need to continue helping Shoplazza merchants grow their businesses.
- Actively drive target partner engagement by managing partner activities, executing go-to-market strategies, developing and executing sales and marketing initiatives, and managing vertical growth and development.
- Understand the market landscape in your assigned service vertical - including leaders in the space, problems businesses are solving for, pain points, and emerging trends. Develop a strategy for growth using these insights.
